A first feel for this place
Bocairent sits high in the Vall d’Albaida and feels more dramatic than most inland towns in Valencia province. The steep old town, the stone setting and the mountain edge give it a very strong identity, but it still works as a living place rather than only a place people visit. Buyers are usually drawn here when they want an inland home with character and a slower pace, but still want a recognisable town centre and a sense of community. Compared with Ontinyent, it is smaller and more distinctive; compared with the coast, it is a completely different rhythm.
