A first feel for this place
San Miguel de Salinas sits slightly above the coastal strip in the south of Alicante province, and that raised position gives it a more open and less crowded feel than the shoreline towns nearby. Buyers often choose it when they want access to Orihuela Costa, golf and Torrevieja, but prefer a town that still has its own year-round centre and a bit more breathing room. Compared with San Fulgencio, it feels more like a real town. Compared with the coast, daily life is calmer from the start.
