A first feel for this place
Bédar sits in the hills above the Levante coast, between Turre, Los Gallardos and Mojácar, and that position gives it a very different feel from the flatter coastal markets below. The old mining history and hillside setting give it more texture than a standard inland village. Buyers usually look here when they want the coast within reach but prefer cooler air, more privacy and a stronger village identity. Compared with Los Gallardos, it feels more elevated and more character-led. Compared with Mojácar, it is quieter and less second-home driven.
