Huércal-Overa is one of the strongest inland service towns in Almería province and often feels easier to live in year round than places better known for the coast. Its position at the northwestern end of the Levante, with strong road links and a broad municipal area around it, gives it real weight as a regional centre. Buyers usually choose Huércal-Overa when they want shops, healthcare, schools and a clear local routine, while still staying within reach of the eastern coast. Compared with the smaller Almanzora villages, it offers more structure; compared with coastal towns, it feels more practical and less seasonal.
