A first feel for this place
Níjar is one of the most distinctive municipalities in Almería because it combines a traditional inland town with a very large coastal and natural landscape around Cabo de Gata-Níjar. That scale gives it a wider living range than most municipalities in the province. Buyers are often drawn here when they want a stronger sense of landscape and identity, but still need daily life to feel real and workable rather than isolated. Compared with Mojácar or Vera, Níjar feels less defined by one single coastal strip and more by the contrast between inland routine, open space and the protected coastline.
